My hometown – Golling an der Erlauf in Lower Austria

I live in GOLLING AN DER ERLAUF in Lower Austria in Austria. There’s a second Golling in Austria , in Salzburg. GOLLING AN DER ERLAUF is 2,72 km² big and has got 1699 inhabitants. Between Golling and another little village called Erlauf is the river „Erlauf“. In 1334 Golling was first called „Goldarn“ and later „Goldern“. There are some sights in Golling: *A museum from Prof. Sepp Mayrhuber, where you can look at many, beautiful pictures, drawn by him, *the „St. Gertrud Kapelle and *the „Gollinger Marterl“. There’s also a place for inline-skating in the summer and ice-skating in the winter. In Golling you can find one elementary school and a nursery-school, but there are only two shops and one baker. If you want to go to a bank, you can go to „Raiffeisenbank“ or „Volksbank“ in Golling. When you want to make some sport, you can go to a tennis-place or to a curling-place.There’s also a club, where you can do sports, the „Kneipp-active-club“. If you want to do something else in you free time, you can go to a club for singing or to the „Samariter-Club“.
I think Golling is a good place to live!!!

„CUT“ !!!
The book „cut“ was written by Patricia McCormick in English first, but i read the German translation. It’s about a girl called Callie, who hurt herself. She thought, she was the reason why her little brother Sam was ill and her mother was always sad. So she hurt herself with knives or other things as a punishment. But after some time it was too much and so she was admitted to a psychiatric ward. There she didn’t speak with anybody. She neither spoke with her psychiatrist, nor with her parents, nor with the other girls in the hospital. Everything changed when a new girl, called Amanda, came to the clinic…….
The writer, Patricia McCormick lives in New York with her husband and her two children and wrote the book „Cut“ as her first book for the young in American English. Alexandra Ernst translated the book into German.

„WIR KINDER VOM BAHNHOF ZOO“
This book, written by Christiane F., is about the writer’s childhood. Christiane F. first got drugs when she was twelve years old. That time it was fun and everybody was only happy if they had drugs. But after some time Christiane worried about her life and so she wanted to stop taking drugs. Then she realized that it wasn’t easy to get a normal life agian. She had to fight against herself, becaue she knew that if she would take drugs any longer, she’d die. And when her best friends died because of drugs, she knew she’d be the next. So she asked for help……
Now Christiane F. is more than 40 years old and lives in Berlin, Germany. The book was written in German language with the help of Kai Hermann, Horst Rieck and Prof. Dr. med. Dr. phil. Horst Eberhard Richter.
